About

Sarah Nolan founded Sarah Nolan Interior Design in 2017 with a mission to create meaningful environments that are inspired, lasting, and authentic to every client. Each of her projects is built upon a personal, collaborative relationship with her clients, and designed to address their aesthetic and functional needs.

Sarah earned her BFA in Interior Design from nationally recognized Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated at the top of her class and with the highest honors, receiving the ASID Education Legacy Fund Scholarship. She began her professional experience working for top architecture and design firms in New York City.

Following her time in New York, Sarah returned home to Western Massachusetts. There she led the Interior Design department of Kuhn Riddle Architects for 9 years, successfully managing and collaborating on a wide variety of projects covering various aesthetics, project types, and scopes of work.

Sarah’s designs draw from this breadth of interior design experience. She enjoys blending materiality, architectural form, and furnishings to create a space that is uniquely tailored to each client.

Sarah is committed to the surrounding community, donating a portion of profits to local charities and nonprofits each month. She has mentored students interested in the fields of interiors and architecture, and can frequently be found at a student’s critique at one of the area colleges.

Sarah holds her NCIDQ Certification (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) which qualifies her at the highest standard of interior design proficiency.
